IMBBA World Cup Bike Building Competition Gets Underway
Canton Georgia – (International Master Bike Builders Association) IMBBA-USA Country Director, Freddie Arnold, announced to IMBBA International on March 30, 2011, that the USA selection of builders qualified to represent the division in the World Cup Bike Building Competition being held on April 20-23, 2012 in Laval, Quebec Canada. At the Classic Bike & Tattoo Show will be: Sam Baldi-Cherry Valley, California, John Shope - Phoenix, Arizona, Aaron Glenn - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Steve Galvin - St. Petersburg, Florida, Dave Dupor - Lake Villa, Illinois and Tim and Mike McNamer, - Blue Mounds, Wisconsin.
            These builders have been consistent in winning points for showing their bikes country wide. This now, will be their biggest challenge to date, by representing the USA and the building prowess of their country at the World Cup Bike Building Competition. All bikes are being built in secrecy, never before shown anywhere in the world.  The best of the best builders know how will go into these builds. Judged by the IMBBA International Judging team on Fit, Form, and Function & Safety.
 

 


Kingston, Ontario - Canada, the defending and host country has earned the most points for showing in 2009-2010, IMBBA Canadian Director and Master Bike Builder - Bob McKay, announced builders accepting the challenge to compete and represent their country. They are: Steve Schuller,- Toronto, Ontario, Tim Lajambe, - New Westminster, BC,  George Tchor, - Mississauga, Ontario, Jay Burnham, - Shawnigan, B.C. Fred Vaillancourt, - St. Come, Quebec and Steve & Mike Le Breton, - St. Andre De Argenteuil, Quebec.
Ivrea-Torino, Italy - Fabrizio Favre, President of the Federation of Italian Customizers (FIC) announced today, that, Italy is ready and have qualified builders to participate in the World Cup Competition. FIC is an organization of builders that now use IMBBA standards and are members of the IMBBA in Italy. Three competitors from FIC, and two independents, who are Master Bike Builder Certified by IMBBA will participate representing Italy. They are:  MS Artrix-Aosta, Italy; Marinelli Motorcycles – Napoli, Italy, and Crazy Chopper - Milano, Italy. Along with,  IMBBA Master Bike Builders, Jerry Caronte, - Modigliana (FC) Custombike and Roberto Totti, Totti Motori - Bologna, Italy.
This is a first in the motorcycle industry where countries qualify who they want to represent the best their country has to offer in a worldwide competition. Along with the U.S.A, Canada, and Italy, is Germany, France, Australia, Ireland, UAE, Brazil, Hungary, Saudi Arabia and Turkey has also qualified to participate. Each country can have up to 6 builders represent their country. 

 
“Once judged in 2012, which ever country wins, IMBBA will stage the next World Cup Competition in 2014 in that winning country”. There is nowhere in our trade history such a show has been done. The press, the spectators and builders will accelerate in the WOW factor!” Jeff Starke, IMBBA International President and organizer stated.
