Roberto "ROMBO" Favre Italian Motorcycle Technician Visits USA

IMBBA International, Jacksonville, Fl -
Today marks the 90th day for Rombo & Densie Favre, (Newlyweds)  who traveled to USA and spent time with IMBBA's president, Jeff Starke's shop and home.   Last year, Roberto, travel here for 30 days to take on training and became IMBBA certified Technician Level I. Thanks to Master Bike Builder Lee Wimmer who spent time with Rombo at his shop in Murrel's. Inlet, SC. Today, after 90 days of training, which included a trip to Lawrenceville, Georgia, Where Rombo, spent  time with Kevin Baxter, ProTwin performance.  Learning Kevin's Fuel injection performance programs and use, Roberto was able to witness a shop in the making, since Kevin relocated his business to a larger facility housing some of the best equipment for engine overhauls. .Roberto, completed his testing and training for Technician Level II.
Roberto, was one of the first to also take online testing in IMBBA's & Chopper Institute of America's LMS site, which, will be launched next week. "Using Rombo, who's English is improving, to understand and take the testing on line for Technician II was a good learning experience for all. The language barriers between builders seldom causes confusion as a built bike and the physical evidence of the build needs no language. it simply must be built right"  said Jeff Starke.

Opportunities like these, are priceless for all. To extend out our hands and boarders and share knowledge and experiences while combining them into a learning and training environment, can signal the way, by which, our industry will grow.
Rombo's training included: tires and wheels, mount and balancing, carburetor, fuel injection repairs and troubleshooting, transmission overhauls on HD and conversions from five to six speed. Fiberglass, welding, air brushing and top end overhaul and valve maintenance. All of which would not of been complete without the educational training materials that accompany those work experiences.
