IMBBA is excited to see Italy and FIC organizing a strong presence to making bike shows fair and professional. This step is a historic one when viewing the past and realizing that bike shows were judged by professionals, however, never judged by professionals that were specifically trained and adapted a standard for recognizing a builders educational knowledge and expertise to the degree that IMBBA has developed. The system, a brain child of Jeff Starke, President of IMBBA is being practiced globally and influencing the landscape of bike shows to come.
Italy representatives and builders have undergone the IMBBA judges course and beginning their practice and apprenticeship training necessary to becoming an IMBBA judge. This October, at the Rumble of Thunder will mark the beginning of what will become Italy's IMBBA sanctioned bike shows where points are given to the builders that attend based on their demonstration of talent, skills and knowledge that are showcased before the public and IMBBA judges.
