Jacksonville, Fl. IMBBA announced today April 22, 2011 that Laszlo Szalay, Instructor at Howell High school, Howell, Michigan instructing in the CTE program for over 9 years has successfully completed all the necessary education and training requirements for certification by IMBBA as "Motorcycle Instructor".
This certification is paramount for the high school students in order to track and provide educational material of the motorcycle trade. IMBBA maintains a strict level of documentation and proficiency experiences required to teach the IMBBA curriculum that leads to these students achieving a standard of certification based on their individual accomplishments and training within the motorcycle repair and customization industry.
Laszlo, joins a family of high schools in North America all having IMBBA motorcycle instructors. Kevin Baas, from Kennedy High School, Stevan Jones, from Eden High School, Marc Mazerolle, from Bernice MacNaughton High School, Canada and Darin Maltsberger instructor for a post secondary technical school, Mitchell Tech. located in Mitchell , SD. what's in common is that,they have vocational trade motorcycle classes using IMBBA's endorsed Motorcycles 101 and Chopper Fundamentals 101 courses authored by the Chopper Institute of America.
The partnership between IMBBA and Doug Hall from C.I. of A., is now creating those academic modules of education and providing proficiency skills along the way to ensure students don't just get the education but actually develop proficiency skills that an employer will come to recognize. In addition IMBBA can now track their progress from cradle to grave through a state of the art, LMS (Learning Management System) being developed by C.I. of A. Steven Broyles, of Stevenson Cycles, also an IMBBA member and the tip of the spear in helping Laszlo, from Howell High school, by ensuring as an employer, that the students education and proficiency elements are adhered to that would become beneficial to employers after receiving trade experience at the high school level. This fall, IMBBA will be releasing additional courses adding to the motorcycle trade, that of which, are a make up of the industries talented builders experience in the trade. Laszlo, joins IMBBA in that quest to ensure that the education meets the Federal requirements and formats within the high school curriculum educational framework. IMBBA will be conducting a site visit of the school this summer to see how IMBBA can contribute to the schools overall program within the IMBBA criteria for certifications along with meeting the students and welcoming them into the IMBBA, with a formal presentation presented to Laszlo with his certificate and awarding the students of Howell High School in Laszlo's program with free IMBBA memberships. These memberships will then open their portfolios of education and establish crediting the student with their education and training successes. These elements and events are significant and part of motorcycle history as IMBBA gathers the talents and experiences in meeting their mission to: Leave the industry better than the way we found it, by documenting and establishing education and training.
