Lee McAdrew wins 1st place with Veterans Bike
Milwaukee, WI. - January 28-29th, 2011 sparked off the new year with House Of Harley's 8th Annual indoor bike show. With bands playing both days. a warm indoor climate and staff eager to show everyone a good-time. The Bike show, judged by the IMBBA, was spectacular with new entrants and a following of regulars that showed and shined their metal for IMBBA judges. The show had various classes and this year, a pro builders class that separated the competition of bike builder enthusiast from the pro builders. Winning and taking several honors in the bike show was: Lee McAndrew, with his Veterans bike sporting lighting special effects and touching to the heart of us all with a award winning murals from Vietnam. Next, was a well restored 1972 Shovel head FL that was maintain by owner Charlie Salbashian a 79 year old rider with as much color as his bike. For the ladies, their bikes in competition was close. Winning for the ladies was, Ellen Cole, with her Twin Cam Softail This year, the first year of pro builders competition, Dave Dupor, of D&D Customs appeared with five outstanding entrees. Dave, winning the pro builders title for first place with his own Bagger that had the judges busy studying the fabrication and details. Later that day, In an interview with Dave Dupor, IMBBA researched Dave's knowledge and technical base on the bikes he built to access his technical expertise as Dave is a candidate in USA to go on and represent USA builders in the World Cup competition. Interviewed by IMBBA president, Jeff Starke, and IMBBA judge, Charlie Hayadia, Dave scored the necessary technical points for his next level of certification and becoming one of 6 to now represent USA in the World Cup Competition. held in Canada 2012.
