CORRESPONDENCE COURSES

CERTIFICATIONS. . .

BELOW ARE THE LEVELS AND THE COURSES ONE MUST COMPLETE TO BECOME CERTIFIED. TO BECOME FULLY CERTIFIED  IN ANY OF THE COURSES OFFERED, ONE MUST COMPLETE AND SATISFACTORILY PASS THE CORRESPONDENCE COURSES. PLUS PASS AN ORAL EXAM GIVEN BY THREE MASTER BUILDERS. THERE ARE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR VARIOUS LEVELS, THESE REQUIRE TIME IN TRADE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS.

MEMBER.... Rocker signifies the year of membership, Issued along with "Certificate of Membership".

Once a Member, you can be called upon to assist with motorcycle events, Trade shows and Bike shows from around the world (OPTIONAL ON MEMBERS PART).  In addition, Reduced rates on Corrospondence courses offered by the Association towards Certification,  Members receive a quarterly NEWS LETTER, discounts on certain events. Name published world wide.

ASSOCIATE

Individuals must show absolute proof of their current enrollment in an accredited motorcycle course while seeking certification. A minimum of one completed year of training in any scholastic area of engineering is required.While employed at any business which performs repairs to motorcycles, either foreign and or domestic, one must pass and complete the Associations' correspondence course(s) and be recommended by their employer in writing to the Association.

Other Avenues for certification can be found by attending Bike shows and displaying bikes built.

Technician I  Introduction to Motorcycle makes and models, the engineering differences and similarities between them, the physical attitibutes and the physical theories of operation relative to all manufactures types of bikes.  An exam of 150 multiple choice questions in Part I and Part II will be required for certification. In addition, an oral exam will be conducted by the Association.

Technician II    This is an in depth coverage of components and how their names were assigned, relative to motorcycle components requiring service and repair. Along with mathematics, measuring instruments, proper machinery and trade suppliers, an in depth coverage of industry parts books and identifying sources of parts. Repairs on your choice of foreign and/or domestic motorcycles. An exam of 150 questions will be administered in selected areas of your expertise. As always,  you will be required to take  an oral exam given by an Association Certified Builder.

Bike Builder   I   An  in depth coverage of  your choice of Foreign or Domestic models. (the applicant will choose.) The coverage covers all aspects of rebuilding of the chosen foreign or domestic make models.  Their overhaul maintenance, applications and theories.  Drive Train, Transmissions, clutch and brakes. Safety equipment, and lighting, and electrical repair techniques and procedures. More introductions to industry parts and repair manual sources and provides complete theory of operations and specifications.  Beginning introduction to welding, brazing, soldering and hydraulics and theories.  Applicant will learn the proper procedures, shop safety, first aid, and hazard materials and disposal based on Governmental guidelines, along withy the laws and regulations. In depth coverage of wiring and trouble shooting in all aspects of motorcycle design and manufacture. 200 questionnaire multiple choice and required oral examination by Association certified Board member.

 

Bike Builder II     In depth coverage of your choice of foreign or domestic class motorcycle certifications  pertaining to Angle/ lines, design and fabrication of chassis, seats, fuel tanks, and  handlebars, steering components, both fully dressed models and down to strip down bobbers/ choppers and mathematics used in trade to fabricate and build a motorcycle in customization, covers chrome plating theories, powder coatings, Latest painting materials and techniques,   Seat materials  and building of seats, molds for fabrications CNC introductions to programming and designing your  parts.  250 questionnaire multiple choice also requires Oral examination by board certified member.

 

 

Master Bike Builder I          Very in-depth detailed  lessons on engine drive train frame geometry, mathematics and advanced welding fabrication techniques, involving performance upgrades, performance components, suppliers theories of engine and drive train operations, formulas of trade use and mapping of the workings of performance engines, drive trains and cerebration/ Fuel injection. With specific details in Turbo charger, Supercharger, Fuel Injection and programming ignitions. Along with Dyno Tunning and Reading of charts and Dyno programming. Master builder will demonstrate to board Dyno operation, Engine rebuilding of choice foreign or domestic model and demonstrate complete assembly of a motorcycle as the applicants Oral Examination 250 questionnaire multiple choice exam is also required.

 

Master Bike Builder II             Final leg of remaining requirements and demonstration of skills preparing Applicant for final oral examination. Covering areas of expertise. From Frame geometry to wheel choices. Areas of design. Hardware applications SAE identification, trade charts and manuals, Tap and die, further CNC theories of use and program designing. Final welding identifications and knowledge of tools and skills required to pass Charging and starting systems and components. Troubleshoot theory and applications.  Bike Shows and judging, drag racing theories and applications.Garage mens Laws and regulations, by State and Local guidelines, Book keeping and accounting practices.  Applicant must pass oral examination of two association board members. And completed 250 questionnaires multiple choice exam. Prior to certification.
